A dealer-to-dealer wholesale network, built for independent used-car dealers who are tired of auction fees and opaque pricing.
Our Mission
Wholesale vehicle trading still runs on twenty-year-old economics: auction buy fees, sell fees, and lanes full of cars you did not ask to see. We think a local dealer should be able to buy and sell inventory with vetted dealers down the road and keep the whole margin.
So LocalMotorTrader charges a flat subscription per rooftop and takes $0 buy fees and $0 sell fees on every deal. We started in the Charleston–Huntington market because dense local supply is where a dealer network actually works, and we are growing market by market.
Our posture is deliberate: LocalMotorTrader is the marketplace, never a party to a vehicle sale. Buyers and sellers set the price and settle payment, title and transport directly; we provide the network, the paperwork rails, and the data — and we stay out of the margin.
What we optimize for
- Verified dealers only — every member dealership is licensed and verified before it can trade.
- Aligned revenue — subscription income means we win when your rooftops stay profitable, not when we tax your deals.
- Data you can check — appraisals, market comps and vehicle history are shown with their basis, not as a black box.
- Honest status — tools we have not shipped yet are labeled as not shipped, on this site and in the product.
